2023 NADOHE Standards of Professional Practice Institute

"NADOHE's SPPI was the most relevant, affirming, and comprehensive professional development experience for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professionals that I have attended." – Renée Smith-Maddox, Ph.D., Diversity Liaison Officer, University of Southern California, Dworak-Peck School of Social Work

About the Institute

NADOHE’s Standards of Professional Practice Institute (SPPI), to be held virtually beginning November 1, 2023, is an unparalleled professional development opportunity for early- and mid-career diversity leaders in higher education. Through SPPI, participants will utilize a case study-focused curriculum that is particularly relevant in higher education today and is designed to further develop competencies for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within their organizations. SPPI’s cohort model will allow participants to explore contemporary topics impacting their work and will promote the development of a robust community of colleagues for longstanding support.

The Institute is modeled after other proven and respected professional development programs in higher education. Each session will focus on critical priority areas in higher education. Sessions are led by faculty who have served as a college or university chief diversity officer or senior administrator and/or who are leading experts in this field.

Registration for NADOHE members is $2,095. Registration for non-members is $2,595. The final SPPI meeting will be held at the 2024 Annual Conference. Please note that registration for the NADOHE Annual Conference is not included. Attendance is limited.
